Eeyup, it’s a nazi pony.

At least they didn’t use the generator.

That’s the only good thing I can even say about this. I mean that design is kind of really awful all nazi aside

There are no words for how many levels this bothers me on.
Seriously what is it with all the “kawaii nazi” bullshit lately?

Why would you go through the trouble to even make these?

Even better: KAITO’S HAIR IS CLIPPING THROUGH HIS HAT

Even beyond the offensiveness, this is just a bad picture.

And what is with their hair? What .sph’s are they using because honestly not sure if want.

This just pissed me off so badly that I want to throw my fucking laptop.

Disrespecting the Nazi flag.

Not sure how feel. We preach flag etiquette, and I preach “Disagree-With-You-But-Fight-For-Your-Right”, but this is the NAZI FLAG.

Confession: That is a badass flag even if it’s a nazi flag

oh god why must some of the most amazing flags in history be disgraced with horrible associations why why

You can find a lighter Prussia wig, can’t you?

Hey guys remember this…?

Good on that one Germany for the clever evasion, but it still doesn’t look right. I mean, she does deserve props for not joining in, but for someone to be giving the thumbs up next to a line of heiling Germanic cosplayers doesn’t look right.

What’s most upsetting is that none of the people in the bottom row did anything about it. I wonder if that Aus and that Norway are just IC or are serious.
Unless this was some spur of the moment thing that caught them off guard. But with that many people at once WILLING to do it, part of me thinks it was not spur of the moment. (According to the Norway in the photo, none of them could do anything. It was all too spur of the moment.)
But I do commend them for not joining in, IC or OOC.

howeverilikehre’spropforsomethingpositive (Although who’s next to Iceland? Do I just not know my Nordics?)

But one of the things about this picture that keeps me wondering (and makes me feel horrific because I noticed it before the heil) is dat door.

Where does it go?

You know what? Even besides the heil, there’s very little about this picture that’s actually good. Some of their cosplays are good, but that’s the extent of it. Why do you have a row of heiling Germanics, and then on the floor some random Nordics, and then a random Prussia and and HRE and whoever that is.

The back row isn’t even organized. You’ve got this petite Germany, and then this large Germany. I have no clue who’s in the brown jacket. My only guess is NeoNazi!America? Who the hell are some of those cosplayers supposed to be? And then besides those four apparent, non-uniform Germany(?)s, one of which is in boxers(?), the rest are just random. Prussia, Aus, Prussia, Aus, Prussia, Germany.

And I still don’t get why the Nordics are there. Or why Iceland has a hoodie. Is that some Hipster!Iceland? Just by wearing the flag shirt you are the character?

And then that Prussia in the front just bothers me. It’s not bad, but something just bothers me.

And above all else, they’re fucking heiling. Not only is it offensive, but it makes the entire picture confusing, because it adds that element of “In-Character”. So instead of being just a simple group shot memory, not meant to be posing or a cosplay picture or anything, you’ve got a confusing mess of “WHY”. You can’t be half IC and half OOC. It doesn’t work that way.

This picture is just a great big mess, Nazi or not.

It is called “Fremdschämen” and it means “to feel embarrassed for somebody else”. ”

Edited out the person’s responses.

Bolding ones of interest. By which I mean ones that are weird, obnoxious behavior, or just can’t be justified. YMMV.

It’s very clear, like all of these obsession lists, that it’s joking most of the time, but some of these are just wildly inappropriate.

pixelheroine: piratenkoenigin: weaboostories: yumikarp: konditori: weaboostories: Now I like Hetalia myself, but I can and will not condone inappropriate behavior such as this. So let me state this once more for the many weeaboos out there: This is unacceptable! It’s not funny in the least! Be respectful to history and in general and don’t pull stupid shit like this. Submitted by automobilefeline OH MY GOD i hope they turn those guns around and shoot themselves because this is ridiculous This is called art. I see nothing wrong in it, they are just living into their roles and doing what history has told. I have nothing against Jews, not at all, but I see nothing wrong in this because there is nothing wrong of it. Sheesh, it’s like the over-religious people being all against that photographer woman who made pictures of Jesus being gay and having group sex. She didn’t do it without a meaning, and it wasn’t a racist meaning of any kind. It’s called art. This is just the same. These two people might actually be Jews themselves, who knows. All they’re doing is making a scene of what history has told in the past. The end. Why take it so personal? Why so serious? i cant believe someone is justifying this calling it ‘art’ oh man wow. There seems to be this common misconception among people that art is pretty pictures. The concept of art is expression, whether that expression is self- or otherwise. This clearly expresses something (the antisemitic movement) through symbolism, and therefore is art. Art can be offensive. A good amount of art is offensive, too. I myself am not antisemitic and think the Holocaust was hands down the worst thing to ever happen in the history of mankind, but I don’t see anything wrong with this picture as a symbolic picture to be interpreted. This isn’t satirical; these two aren’t laughing, and they aren’t sieg heiling playfully like some Prussia cosplayers do at cons. This is our history, and for being fans of a series that centers on history, mainly the WWII era, finding this offensive is absolute horseshit to me.

Did not want to post this picture again but this is the best way I could have put any justification for not being offended. Except for that last part. The series doesn’t give two shits about WWII anymore. It’s only in title now. But there’s still a part of me that’s uneasy… But I still call it bullshit that just by having symbolism something is art. But I just hate the fucking “What is art” debate anyway. I think a major problem is still that it was in public. But maybe I’m wrong. Although just because it’s art doesn’t make it okay. People take offense. It being an expression won’t change that. So this art debate is pointless.
