That gorgeous lolita dress is only $35? That’s amazing, but is it too good to be true? YES. Milanoo has low prices, and the photos look amazing, thats why its too good to be true. They steal photos from other websites, add their watermark, and sell it to unsuspecting online shoppers. They hire the cheapest seamstress’s to make everything they sell. You would be lucky to get something even REMOTELY close to the picture they stole. This isn’t just for the lolita stuff, its for everything. The cosplays are all made out of the cheapest material you can find, and usually it’s not even the right color. The bridal dresses are guaranteed to come in the mail weeks after your wedding, and they will look awful. Their shoes are all painted with paint that gives off nauseating fumes. If you are thinking bout buying something from Milanoo, don’t. The comments on their site are all fake. They make accounts to give good reviews of themselves on their website, and others. There is a whole network of fake accounts on many sites, trying to promote themselves. If you see anything giving Milanoo good reviews, its fake. Don’t fall for the pretty pictures and cheap prices. They are nothing but a scam site, trying to take the money out of innocent people’s pockets.
I remember before Weeaboo Stories went down, there were a TOOOON of stories about Milanoo.

The girl in the photo was lied to about the nature of this photo and was told “it is just for a Japanese fashion photoshoot”

This movie also displays the lolita image as pedophilia related. This is an image that lolita have worked hard to dispel for years.
“The Lolita community has been misunderstood for years, usually mislead by the title of Vladimir Navokov’s novel “Lolita”. The community has been fighting really hard to make people understand that, no matter the personal idea of what Lolita is (a fashion, a lifestyle, an aesthetics), it is NOT about sexualising women, but completely the opposite, it is about women feeling comfortable with themselves in clothes that make them feel pretty and that do not relate with attracting men. Moreover, Lolita is not about ageplay. It does not try to make young women look like little girls, hence it’s not focused on attracting pedophiles. It might make the girls look a bit childish depending on the style, but that is not the point for a lolita.
With the promotional poster in which a girl is shown wearing Lolita clothes, her expression being overtly provocative and teasing, the productor and director are causing a massive harm to the Lolita community, leading people who does not know the movement to think that it’s about sex and ruining the hard work that thousands of girls have done during years. Due to this, we ask for the removal of the poster plus a formal apology from both of them.”

Aside from the Lolita=Pedophilia thing, it’s terrible (and illegal I’m sure) that she was lied to about being in a Japanese fashion photoshoot, only to have her picture used in some promotion media that she clearly did not want to be in!
I seriously hate the idea that women only dress a certain way / wear makeup / do their hair a certain way to appeal to certain kinds of men. They couldn’t possibly be interested in this kind of fashion because they like the way they look in it - it’s all about what the men want. If dudes like it, good for them, but it’s not automatically for their gratification.
And yeah, even if you don’t like Lolita, you have to admit that getting this woman to provide her photograph under false pretenses is pretty fucking vile.
